The Role
As the Head of Parking Product, you will own the end-to-end development of our Parking product line, managing multiple configurations and driving the product roadmap. You will work closely with internal teams, including software and hardware leads, as well as external stakeholders, such as OEMs and business development, to deliver solutions that meet market demands and customer specifications. You will lead a team of product experts and collaborate across functions to ensure timely, accurate, and tested product releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive a unified product roadmap for parking features across L2+, L3, and L4 systems, aligning with Wayve’s AI-first strategy and multiple OEM needs.
- Translate market trends, customer feedback, and technical insights into scalable and configurable product features.
- Lead OEM and Tier-1 engagement throughout the full lifecycle — from RFQs to production launch — ensuring clear alignment on requirements, deliverables, and timelines.
- Oversee end-to-end product development using a full V-model approach, from concept through to SOP (Start of Production).
- Collaborate closely with software, hardware, and systems teams to ensure product integration, performance, and quality — particularly in low-speed control and 360° perception environments.
- Ensure all releases meet regulatory, safety, and functional standards and are tested for customer readiness.
- Manage and grow a cross-functional team of product and engineering professionals, fostering alignment, accountability, and a high-performance culture.
About You
Essential
- Proven track record of delivering parking or AVP systems to production with OEMs, including full V-model development to SOP.
- Hands-on experience developing parking systems, including low-speed autonomous control and 360° perception specifically for parking applications.
- Experience managing OEM/Tier-1 relationships, from RFQ response through launch.
- Strong program and team leadership experience, with the ability to manage technical teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Familiarity with L2+, L3, and L4 driving systems and product configurations.
- Deep understanding of automotive product development, testing, and validation.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
Desirable
- Experience with data-driven or ML-based parking systems, including map-less memory parking approaches.
- ISO 26262-D and UNECE R79 compliance leadership or close collaboration with safety and regulatory functions.
