The role

Wayve’s Automotive team is looking for a hands-on and service-oriented Jira Administrator to support our growing Jira environment. You’ll be the first point of contact for Jira-related requests — helping teams configure boards, update workflows, manage fields, and troubleshoot issues so they can move faster and stay aligned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage all Jira support requests — from quick fixes to deeper configuration changes

  • Design and maintain project setups, workflows, issue types, and permission schemes

  • Build intuitive filters, dashboards, and boards that help teams stay aligned and move fast

  • Keep the system clean, usable, and scalable by reviewing and simplifying schemes and custom fields

  • Document Jira usage patterns and support onboarding of new users and teams

About you

In order to set you up for success as a Jira Administrator at Wayve, we’re looking for the following skills and experience:

Essential

  • You have proven experience as a Jira Administrator (Cloud preferred)

  • You’re comfortable customizing Jira — from workflows and issue types to screens, fields, and automation rules

  • You understand how to build clear, helpful dashboards, filters, and permissions

  • You’ve supported product or technical teams in fast-paced environments

  • You’re organized, responsive, and enjoy helping teams work more efficiently

  • You’ve worked with tools like ScriptRunner, Advanced Roadmaps, or Jira Structure

Desirable

  • Bonus: You’ve worked in automotive, embedded systems, or another regulated industry

This is a full-time role based in our office in London.  At Wayve we want the best of all worlds so we operate a hybrid working policy that combines time together in our offices and workshops to fuel innovation, culture, relationships and learning, and time spent working from home.

We understand that everyone has a unique set of skills and experiences and that not everyone will meet all of the requirements listed above. If you’re passionate about self-driving cars and think you have what it takes to make a positive impact on the world, we encourage you to apply.
